Stone Petris / Your information

Privacy policy

Effective and last updated:

This notice explains how information is used by the current pre-alpha version of Parry Arena and this website.

1. Who is responsible

Stone Petris is the independent developer of Parry Arena, based in Brazil. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Stone Petris. We are responsible for our decisions about the processing described here. For privacy or data-protection enquiries, contact stonepetris@gmail.com. You may write in English or Portuguese.

This notice covers the game and our website. Third-party services and independent players who host matches also handle information in their own environments, as explained below.

2. Information and why it is used

Local play, settings and saves

The game creates a random local profile identifier and reconnect credential. It stores your chosen player name, control and display settings, controller layout preferences, progress, experience, character statistics and saved runs on your PC. These records let you keep your settings and resume the correct character. Local co-op guests have character records within the run. We do not require your real name for a player name.

Multiplayer and room discovery

When you use online features, the game sends connection information and identifiers needed for authentication, matchmaking and communication. The match host receives your player profile identifier, player name, reconnect authentication information, input and gameplay state. Other participants receive shared match state, including player names, identifiers and character progress. The host saves the run on their own PC.

Epic-hosted room listings expose the room name, join code, access mode, player count and whether the match is waiting or in progress. Private and friends-only rooms can also appear in the server list; their access restrictions control joining. Private-room passwords are not included in public room listings. Choose room and player names you are comfortable sharing.

Direct-IP play connects to the chosen host. Network endpoints, including IP addresses, can be visible to the host and other directly connected peers. Epic networking uses persistent device or account-linked product identifiers and connection data. A peer-to-peer connection may also expose network addresses. Single-player and local co-op do not require you to use these online features.

Friends and optional Epic account sign-in

Parry Arena friends use online identifiers, display names, friend requests, accepted friendships and block/removal records. Accepted friends can receive your in-game availability, room code and whether you are in the menu, waiting or playing. Requests and friendship data are exchanged with the relevant player. The game stores your Parry Arena friend profiles locally.

If you choose to sign in with an Epic Games account, the game requests Basic Profile and Friends permissions through Epic’s consent screen. It uses the account/product identifiers, display names and available consented friend relationships to identify you, show Epic friends and check friends-only room access. Basic Profile permission can also make language and linked-account display names available. The game can remember your choice and attempt to restore your sign-in. You enter your Epic password through Epic’s sign-in interface, not into a Stone Petris form. Steam friend import is not implemented in this version.

Website visits and support

This is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Serving and protecting it involves technical request data such as an IP address, browser information, requested page and request time. We have not added advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics scripts. Fonts and artwork are served with the website. Hosting or security services may use their own necessary technologies.

If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any files or diagnostic information you choose to send. We use these to answer you, investigate problems and handle privacy requests. Game logs and crash information may exist on your PC; the game does not include a Stone Petris automatic gameplay-analytics or crash-upload service. Please do not send passwords, login codes or reconnect credentials.

3. Reasons for processing

Depending on the information and feature, we process data to provide the game or feature you request, with consent for optional account access where required, for legitimate interests such as reliable operation, security and responding to support, or to comply with legal obligations and protect legal rights. We assess legitimate interests against the rights of affected people. Declining optional Epic account permissions leaves those account-based features unavailable; solo and local play remain available. This notice is not a request for blanket consent.

4. Sharing and service providers

  • Other players and hosts: receive the match, identity and social information described above. A host can retain their saved run, including participant records.
  • Epic Online Services: the game sends data needed for the Epic networking and optional account/friends features you use. Epic has its own relationship with users; consult the Epic Games Privacy Policy for its practices.
  • Website and email providers: Cloudflare delivers and protects this website; our email provider handles support correspondence. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and Google’s privacy policy for their respective services.
  • Legal requirements: information may be disclosed when necessary to comply with applicable law, respond to a valid legal request, or protect people and legal rights.

We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Service providers and players may be outside Brazil, so online features and support can involve international processing. Applicable legal safeguards govern transfers for which we are responsible. Provider-specific processing and retention are described in their own notices.

5. Storage, retention and security

Local game records: preferences, saves, friend records and their backups remain on the computer holding them until replaced or deleted. There is no automatic age-based deletion for these local files. Removing a friend or blocking a player can leave a minimal identifier or queued removal record needed to enforce that choice; older backups may retain earlier information. Host saves can retain participants after they leave. Stone Petris does not operate a separate central player-save or Parry Arena friends database in this version.

Live sessions: connection and imported-friend information is used while the game is running, and active rooms are closed when the host leaves. This does not imply immediate deletion of records held by service providers or copies saved by other players. Locally cached sign-in information may persist across sessions.

Support records: correspondence is retained while needed to resolve and follow up on the request, document its outcome, and meet applicable legal or dispute-handling requirements. You can request deletion when those purposes no longer apply. We consider the request’s status, continuing technical issues and any required legal retention rather than keeping a fixed lifetime for every message.

We limit processing to the purposes above and use access controls appropriate to the services we operate. No system is risk-free. Protect your PC and game profile, and share private room passwords only with intended players. Local saves and copies on another player’s PC are not a secure cloud vault under our control.

6. Your choices, access and deletion

Contact us to ask whether we process your personal information, obtain access, correct inaccuracies, request deletion or anonymisation, object to or restrict processing where applicable, withdraw consent, ask about sharing, or request portability where the law provides it. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify that the records belong to you; do not send identity documents unless requested through an appropriate channel. Requests are handled within applicable legal deadlines. Necessary legal retention or the rights of others may limit a request, in which case we will explain.

  • You can choose solo/local play, leave an online session, and use the friends menu to decline, remove or block contacts.
  • You can revoke Parry Arena’s account access through your Epic account’s application/connection settings. This can disable Epic account features; it does not itself erase local saves or friendships.
  • To remove local game data on Windows, close the game and locate its data folder, normally %APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Parry Arena. It contains settings, saves, friends, logs and possible profile subfolders. Deleting that data and its backups removes the local copies and may permanently lose progress, friends and reconnect access. Uninstalling the game alone may leave this folder behind. Contact us if you need help identifying the right files.
  • For a copy retained by an independent match host, ask that host to remove your record or their saved run. We cannot remotely erase another person’s files, but can help explain the process. For service-provider records, use the provider’s privacy controls or contact us about records we can administer.

Brazilian users have rights under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), and other applicable laws may provide additional rights. You may raise a concern with Brazil’s Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados (ANPD) or your relevant data-protection authority. Contacting us first helps us address the issue.

7. Children and young players

Parents and guardians can contact us about a young player’s information. If you believe we have received a child’s personal information inappropriately, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Young players must follow applicable age and parental-permission requirements for the services they use. We do not ask players to send their date of birth or identity documents through this website.

8. Changes to this notice

Parry Arena is in development. We will update this page and its date when our practices change, and provide additional notice or seek consent where required before materially different processing. Planned features are not described as already collecting data.
